Poetry Wednesdays (Launch)

I used to write poetry almost every day, and often several times a day.

I’m trying to get back to that, even if I’m “just” writing a haiku.

Starting today, One Story Slinger is launching Poetry Wednesdays. Every Wednesday I’ll post a new poem I’ve written. I hope to eventually host contests for Poetry Wednesday – and readers like you can submit your poems for the post. I’d love to set the post up so that readers can judge instead of just me… It’s a work in progress while I sort that out.

In the meantime, enjoy today’s haiku:

Liberty’s Dance by Carolynne Keenan

She clipped her wings free,

But danced in silent slumber.

Forever? A lie.

“Dark Allies” – 9/4/13 Daily Writing Prompt Result

This writing prompt result has become a contender for Kelly Samarah’s Flash Fiction Horror Contest, so I won’t be posting it here. I’m not sure if it really qualifies as horror, but I never am able to stick with one genre. Gotta rebel, I guess!

I’ll post the story after the contest closes.

Happy Writing!
